Easy to Make Christmas Holiday Card with Stamping
58It is that time of year again...the Holiday Season we call Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa..or whichever title. Time to buy gifts, wrap them, and watch those faces as they are opened.
It is also the time of year to get and send Holiday cards. They have become very expensive over the years to buy; however, making a Holiday card is very easy using Stamping products, cardstock, and your imagination.
Using products from Stampin'Up! is always a good choice. The stamps imprint accurately and with their markers, you can make any stamp multicolored as I did with the ornaments on the Christmas tree in this card.
Specifics
Cardstock: White, Snowflake Print, and Red
Stamps: The Holiday Happiness collection from Stampin'Up!
Markers: Blue, Yellow, Purple, and Red
Punches: Corner punch
Sponge: Stampin'Up! sponge cut in quarters
Step by Step
Cut Base Card:
Cut a heavy weight Red piece of cardstock to be 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" for the base of the card. Fold carefully using a folding tool for a smooth edge.
Cut Background cardstock:
Cut a piece of snowflake cardstock to be 5 1/2" x 4". This will be the background piece of cardstock for your card.
Punch and Adhere:
Punch each corner of the snowflake cardstock with a corner punch.
Adhere the snowflake cardstock to the middle of the Red cardstock base card.
Cut White cardstock:
Cut a piece of White cardstock to be 4" x 3 1/2". This will be the piece of cardstock where you stamp the tree.
Stamp Christmas Tree:
Carefully stamp using Green ink the Christmas Tree image on the white piece of cardstock. Practice on the opposite side if needed. Do Not adhere to the card yet.
Stamp Ornaments:
Using the small ornament stamps, color each one as you desire using your markers.
Stamp as close to the ending of each branch as you can. Practice on a piece of scrap paper is a good idea.
Sponge:
Using your sponge, lightly sponge all over the Christmas tree.
Adhere:
Adhere your finished Tree image to the snowflake cardstock.
Cut and Adhere:
Cut a small piece of red cardstock to be a rectangle just a bit bigger than the white sentiment you stamped.
Adhere the sentiment to the red cardstock.
Adhere the finished sentiment cardstock to the top middle of your card.
Done!
