Easy to Make Fall Themed Card with a Cricut Machine and Stamping
65It is that time of year again....fall. With the cooler and crisp weather comes the bounty of colors for fall including orange, green, brown, and yellow. I made this card with fall in mind, with the pumpkins dotting the fields and the yellow grasses waving in the breeze.
Making a Cricut card is easy and I find myself getting more and more creative as I create each card. The Cricut machine cuts each shape with a crisp edge, even the intricate designs such as the vines surrounding the pumpkin on this Cricut card. Good quality scrapbook cardstock helps so much too. Try to buy the type that is colored on both sides or at least colored throughout, not with the white core.
Of course the blade for the Cricut machine needs to be sharp in order to make those cuts. Extra Cricut blades come with the Cricut Essentials Kit. The tools included in the kit are invaluable, I have used them over and over for my cards and scrapbook layouts. The pointed tool allows me to punch out even the tiniest cuts and I use it to pick up those tiny cuts from the paper in order to adhere them to the card.

Adhere:
Adhere the large yellow pumpkin cutout behind the orange pumpkin with vines, make it a bit off center so the yellow shows thru the orange openings.
Adhere the two small yellow pumpkin cutouts behind the right and the left vines on the orange cutout. It can also be done by adhering it to the card itself first.
Adhere the large pumpkin and vines to the card.
Adhere the bottom orange layer of the "Happy Fall" sentiment to the card, set at an angle.
Adhere the top yellow layer of the "Happy Fall" sentiment to the orange layer.
Adhere the small pumpkins together with the shadow layer first, green, brown, then orange layers on top. Add cheeks and streaks.
Adhere the two small pumpkins to the top left of your card.
Stamping
Take the small flower shaped stamp and stamp on the sentiment in the centers of the round letters.
Embellish
If you like, take a brown scrapbooking pen and dot the sentiment.
Done!
I like it. Looks fun but challenging. I look forward to giving it a try.
I like it. Another good card.
